About Vanessa

Vanessa Jorge Perry is the founder and creative head of GrlSqdMx = Girl Squad Music.

Vanessa Jorge Perry is the Head of Music at Transit, one of the industries leading Motion Picture Advertising Companies. She is also the founder and creative head of GrlSqdMx, a music supervision and music consulting company with more than 25 years of experience working on films, trailers, promos, and video games. She has also worked with many trailer houses, production companies, directors, and editors on a range of projects.

She most recently served as the Music Supervisor of Eva Longoria’s directorial debut Flamin’ Hot and this year was nominated for Best Music Supervision in a Film under $25 Million at the Guild of Music Supervisors Awards. 

Vanessa’s recent work further includes overseeing music for the latest movie trailers including IF, Garfield, Kung Fu Panda 4, The Fall Guy, Monkey Man, and Mean Girls. She has also contributed to the creation of trailers and promos for projects such as, The Little Mermaid, John Wick, The Super Mario Brothers Movie, Fast X, and Nope. 

Vanessa has been a proud member of the Guild of Music Supervisors for more than 10 years and recently served her second term on the GMS Board of Directors.
